Sun Tzu is so fucking funny to me because for his time he was legitimately a brilliant tactician but a bunch of his insight is shit like “if you think you might lose, avoid doing that”, “being outnumbered is bad generally”, and “consider lying.”

My personal favourite is his lengthy lecture on the subject of Supplies Being Very Important I Cannot Stress Enough The Importance Of Protecting Your Supply Lines But Also Supply Lines Are Expensive As Shit So Steal The Enemy’s Supplies At Every Opportunity.

I thought this scene looked more impressive in the manga but I suppose that’s a consequence of adaptation. An explosion in animation is just a few frames unless you slow-motion it but a full-page panel leaves a much larger impact. The different aspect ratio also means the explosion looks a lot smaller.

galavant was ahead of its time. the world wasn’t ready for it in 2015. if that show had come out in a post-crazy ex girlfriend era we’d be watching new seasons of galavant right now.

if they’d held off just a couple years until people started realizing game of thrones was bad?? what a world

When I was a kid, I thought those pillars went down to the sea floor.

In reality, they usually go down to some large submerged floats.

I dislike this.

Pillars and floats like that are pretty stable, compared to regular boats, so there’s even a research vessel, called FLIP, that purposefully capsizes itself to be more steady when conducting research.

I had big plans for this image but my interest in it fizzled. Hoping I can return to it with renewed vigor sometime in the future.
